📚 Code of Conduct for Tutors

Do:

  • Be punctual for all scheduled sessions.
  • Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications.
  • Respect the student's pace of learning.
  • Use the platform's communication tools for all interactions.
  • Report any concerns about student safety immediately.

Don't:

  • Share personal contact information to bypass the platform.
  • Make inappropriate comments or physical contact.
  • Misrepresent your credentials or experience.
  • Cancel sessions without adequate notice (24+ hours).
  • Discuss fees or payments outside the platform.

👨‍👩‍👧 Code of Conduct for Parents & Students

Do:

  • Be punctual and prepared for scheduled sessions.
  • Treat tutors with respect and courtesy.
  • Provide honest feedback after sessions.
  • Use appropriate language and behavior during sessions.
  • Report any concerns about tutor behavior to the platform.
  • Enable parental supervision for minors when appropriate.

Don't:

  • Attempt to hire tutors outside the platform (poaching).
  • Share tutor's personal contact information publicly.
  • Make abusive or threatening comments.
  • Cancel sessions repeatedly without valid reasons.
  • Record sessions without explicit consent from all parties.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban:

  • Harassment: Bullying, stalking, or intimidating behavior.
  • Discrimination: Bias based on race, gender, religion, or any protected class.
  • Fraud: Providing false information, impersonation, or payment fraud.
  • Inappropriate Content: Sharing explicit, violent, or offensive material.
  • Platform Circumvention: Attempting to bypass fees or conduct transactions off-platform.
  • Privacy Violations: Sharing personal information without consent.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness any violation of these guidelines:

  1. Use the "Report" button on booking or profile pages.
  2. Contact us at: hello@mavelstech.in with subject: STEAMZ: [Your Issue]
  3. All reports are investigated within 24-48 hours.

Disclaimer of Liability

  • Steamz provides tutoring services through our network of expert tutors but does not guarantee educational outcomes (grades, test scores, etc.).
  • The platform is not responsible for interactions that occur outside the platform (offline meetings, private communications).
  • Users are encouraged to use Steamz communication tools only for safety and dispute resolution.
  • We recommend parents supervise sessions for minors and verify tutor credentials via our Trust & Safety page.
